About
Highfields Pioneer Village Museum and Park Inc is a voluntary community based non-profit organisation run by volunteers, established in April 2000 to support and maintain the pioneer village at Highfields. The objectives of the organisation is to not only establish and maintain a static display of significant historical artefacts and a record of significant historic events, but also to demonstrate and pass on the traditional skills by which early settlers built communities on the Darling Downs.

Collections
Highfields Pioneer Village has a large range of vintage cars, trucks and tractors. Amongst the collections is a Barber Greene Trench Digger formerly used by the Toowoomba City Council. Among the displays is a fine collection of antique radios and electrical appliances from a bygone era. The Heritage Chapel was built in 1909 as a Congregational Church in the nearby township of Meringandan. The Village Fashion Shop features an original silk wedding dress from the 1890's. The unique collection of Tinsmithing machinery is housed at the Village and the facade on the building is a replica of the old Toowoomba Spring Works. The historic Gore Railway Station now also takes pride of place at the Highfields Pioneer Village. The B.J Palmer Boot repair Shop is a testament to a time when life was much simpler. No matter how old you are there is something for everyone at Highfields Pioneer Village!

Facilities
Highfields Pioneer Village is just 15 minutes drive north of Toowoomba, 3 km off the New England Highway. The Village covers an area of 20 acres of picturesque grounds with pleasant surroundings and picnic facilities and comprises over 40 historic buildings open to the public 10:00am to 4:00pm daily. Highfields Pioneer Village is a non profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Disabled Access, Toilets, Picnic Area, BBQ facilities, craft workshops, educational & memory tours for groups.
